In just a short span of time, he invoked the anger of Elias, and even Chise’s, who’s normally so sweet and kind! If it weren’t for people holding them back, Elias and the Blue Flame respectively, it makes me wonder how everything would’ve ended up between them. The scariest thing about him is that he no longer actually knows why he does those things! He said it was so he can live without pain, but from how he acted when no one could see him, I feel like it’s only a half-hearted reason now. everyone else: Joseph, no, Cartaphilus is terrifying, and not just because he has no qualms about hurting other people or desecrating corpses.
Ulysse and Isabel: Ulysse truly is shaped like a friend, because he’s really a dog!! A very loyal, compassionate, selfless, wonderful companion to Isabel… You can’t help but love him a lot !! And to think that all it took to separate her from him were bullies and a very unfortunate accident! How infuriating! However, the saddest part was that he only thought she was sleeping, and refused to leave her side even until her death, and his!! And i t was this love and loyalty for her that turned him into a black dog, a church grim, albeit delu ding that he was a human like her! He placed such value on Isabel that he didn’t want the same misfortune to happen to Chise, going so far as to willingly let her see a personal matter just so she can be saved! Truly, dogs are amazing friends and protectors.Ĭartaphilus vs. As a whole, it was just one heck of a ride that I’ve never seen before, and it was super-duper great! Episode Highlights If you have a beloved dog/s and you haven’t watched the episode yet, you might want to keep them close by, because I honestly wanted to hug mine as soon as I understood what happened to Ulysse in the past! I didn’t know I was actually watching Hachikō! Four minutes into the episode and m y heart was already crying so much! There was also new development on Chise and Elias’ relationship where I got Howl’s Moving Castle vibes! Well, t hese are only comparisons to some segments of the story. The Ancient Magus’ Bride was such a wild ride this week! I was so blown away by all that happened, and my feels where everywhere! I was already amazed at how good this show is since a few episodes ago, but with how these latest events went on, I can now truly say tha t I’m incredibly grateful I get to watch this marvelous gem!
